I was watching some of the Mormon Messages on you tube the other night. President Monson has one that I really enjoyed it is called
What Matters Most
I believe that among the greatest lessons we are to learn in this short sojurn upon this earth, are the lessons that help us distinguish between what is important and what is not. And what is most important almost always involves the people around us.
Often we assume that they must know how much we love them, but we should never assume, we should let them know. William Shakespear wrote:
They that do not love, Do not show there love.
Despite the changes which come in to our lives may we fill our days as much as we can with those things that matter most. May we cherish those we hold dear and express our love to them in word and deed. Send that note to a friend who you have been neglecting, give a child a hug. give you parents a hug. Say I love you more, Always express your thanks
Never let a problem to be solved become more important than a person to be loved.
I went fishing the other day with those people that matter most I had a great day We even caught some beautiful money fish ( rainbows ) I just really enjoyed that day it is great to be in the outdoors Thanks Jon, Jake, Josh My brother David James and McKay.
I got back to Idaho Falls took care of the fish, had a brat hot dog with Jon and then headed home to Logan. I found myself thinking about my Mom and Dad and President Monsons message
I called them on my cell phone and expressed my love for them and told my dad how much I appreciated him spending all the time he did with us in the outdoors.
So Josh when were standing by the sink cleaning the fish and you asked me how I learned to do all these things. I learned them from my dad, and I love him for it

Curtis, by reading your daughter's blogs I took a look at yours again. I enjoyed your thoughts on your last posting. Here's one that I thought of Jason and then you when I read it.
ReplyDeleteA friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in a time of need. Proverbs 17:17
We've noticed that you've called more and kept in touch and it means alot to both of us. It's part of "What Matters Most" and you matter too!
